Monday, 21st of July 2008 at 04:00:11 PMOver the weekend, I took advantage of DreamHost’s one-click upgrade to Wordpress 2.6. One of the reasons I use DreamHost to host my blog is because they take care of managing my applications and I don’t have to put too much effort in keeping up with phpBB, Wordpress and all the other little apps I have running for my various sites. This weekend, I took some time out to add a plugin or two. The first one is a quote widget you will see on the right side. I’ve collected some quotes that I like over the years and have them in a database. Over the next couple of days I will get more of them loaded into this new widget for me to share with you.
I’m also in the process of adding a widget to allow you to rate postings on this blog. This will give me feedback on which postings are helpful and which ones need more work.
I’m also working on another plugin that will allow me to rotate my pictures in the banner section, in an effort to keep my website a little more fresh and offer my readers more creativity.
