Pulte Impresses me

This morning I did a pre-closing walk through with a client for a new build of a 5,000 sq ft home with representatives from Pulte.  I’ve represented buyers on new builds and talk about a situation that I prefer not to get involved with.  The contracts are not standard and tend to slant (big) to the builders leaving the sellers without any protection.  I was surprised at the Pulte contract, but that’s not this story.

Today I show up and we meet and greet.  We’re going along and my buyers tend to be quite picky on the details.  Pulte uses red tape instead of blue to mark problem areas for the trades to work out.  Let me tell you, no matter how small the scratch, mark or dust, it was marked and without any complaints, reservations or other unspoken body language for the Pulte Reps.  I was impressed.  Add to it, one of the trades was there fixing some things that Pulte already found and he was very polite and get on his part of the punch list again without any issues.  This is what good customer relations is about, make the customers happy, you stay happy and everyone comes out better in the end.

I may have to represent more buyers building with Pulte.
