Well, it’s a new year and time to set some new objectives. 2009 wasn’t what I consider to be a great year. The Economy continued to be challenged, society continued to be challenged and my business was definitly challenged. It wasn’t all bad. I drop 10 pounds, ran nearly 500 miles and set a new personal best pace in a 5k of 9:11 mile.
I also enjoyed watching my daughter grow and show her personality (and I know the teenage years will be my most challenging as a parent based on the second year of her life). I also read 14 books, wrote in my blog 48 times. I also came to appreciate the hard work that goes into fulfilling my goals and the balancing act and support that I needed to achieve all that I achieved this year. Just think of it this way, to run 500 miles, took over 100 hours to accomplish, that’s a lot of time.
So, what’s next year going to look like, well, that’s the first challenge to get past:
- Complete 3 hours of training in Real Estate each month.
- Run 530 miles over the next year.
- Lose another 10 pounds.
- Reduce my use of paper (Going Green).
- Have more family and date nights.
Last year I had 12 goals and I accomplished 9 of them 100%, 11 at over 90%. This year, I want to have fewer and more focused goals. How about you, have you thought about what you want to accomplish this year? Stay tuned as I keep you posted on each of my goals!
