Lobbying is still going on…

Even as many politicians are out on the campaign trail trying to drum up support, the lobbyist are hard at work on adding special interest to the next stimulus package.  According to an article by Realty Times, there will be a new effort to make a new stimulus package to continue to resuscitate the failing economy.  Trade groups National Association of Realtors and National Association of Home Builders are both trying to add credits to the bill.

The NAR would like to see at least a $7,500 credit that home buyers would not have to repay.

NAHB would like to see a $10,000 or more credit that would also not have to be repaid.

Both of these credits would be seen as a way to stimulate buyers to get off the fence and purchase a home which may feel would stimulate the economy from the bottom up.
