Farmer’s Market

Yesterday, I discovered a local gem, the neighborhood Farmer’s Market.  For the Northwest valley, it would be Twilight Farmer’s Market.  Which I really like, it starts at 4, but I get there around 6 and it’s almost dark at that point.  It’s not too hot and quite a few people are out looking.  There were also a large number of vendors present.  I found everything from the produce to locally made pasta, bread, jams, salsa, tamales, deserts, butter and more that I can’t remember.

Needless to say, I spent quite a bit stock-piling my pantry and refrigerator, and now I have lots of good things to eat at home again.  The market runs from 4 to 7 each Wednesday at the Citadella Plaza on 59th Ave, North of Union Hills and South of Loop-101.

Update 2010-06-23: Summer hours are 6 to 9, and the misters will be running to keep it cooler…

  • FYI, so many people have requested us (the Twilight Farmers market)to stay open until 8 pm, that starting on October 28th, we will go from 4 until 8 PM every Wednesday. See you there!

  • Thanks Beth, I also thought that it would be great if it was a little later as well. We had a good time there and have told several of our friends and clients about it. Thank you for updating us.

Great news about the extended hours! I like getting there a little later, shopping at my favorite stands and then sitting out on the patio at Tutti Santi with a glass of wine for some great people watching.
