Recently I found a rather interesting statistic. Probably what makes this statistic so interesting isn’t the numbers as much as the fact that we are tracking the data to make this report. Here are the highlights for easy reading:
- Canadian buyers have outpaced California buyers since December 2009
- 80% of the Canadian buyers are paying in cash
It is no secret that we attract several California buyers, we have great weather and our real estate prices look great comparatively. Sure we lack the ocean, but we also lack the humidity that comes with it.
The fact that 80% of the Canadian buyers are paying cash for real estate tells me that they know the conversion rate is great, and they have a confidence that the rate won’t stay this good for the life of a loan.
