As you’ve seen me post on this blog, I’ve been active in the conversion of ARMLS from the Tempo system to FBS, also known as FlexMLS. A conversion that I am excited about and will see become a reality very soon. As someone that has helped in converting systems from one location (or platform) to another, this is a critical stage and the FBS team are taking this stage very seriously. Importantly, the smart and safe thing to do is create a freeze period. From Friday July 24th through Monday July 28th, changes/additions or deletions from ARMLS will be prohibited. That doesn’t mean that homes will not sell or be marketed or have adjustments, it just means that during that timeframe, changes will not be reflected in the ARMLS database until after the freeze is thawed on Monday.
During this 4 day period, data will be packaged and backed up on the old system, transferred to the new system, prepared (ETL), checked and loaded into another system. There will probably be a couple of teams (both FlexMLS and ARMLS) that will check the data before the thaw is authorized. This is a time of understanding and patience on the part of the community and users. If you currently have a portal or search from me, I will be sending out an eMail soon describing your personal conversion and your new benefits.
